The folding two-screened Android portable device from Microsoft has just got an update to let you experience portable Nintendo DS-ish gaming.
The PC-maker first released the Surface Duo last year after its debut back in 2019. On its announcement, Microsoft boosted the device to be a portable gaming device though it’s missing physical control buttons like the DS and instead features touchscreen controls.
Just recently, Microsoft chief product officer Panos Panay unveiled in Twitter that a new update for the device now will let you play Xbox Game Pass Ultimate streaming games.
At the moment, there are 50 titles included in the update —-notables are Sea of Thieves and Minecraft Dungeons. The cloud-gaming Minecraft Dungeons gains positive reviews in terms of controls and gaming experience in Surface Duo. If you currently own a Surface Duo, definitely this is a pretty good update for your device aimed to rival or the closes takes of Microsoft for Nintendo and Sony portables.
If you’re concern about the touch-controls, we found some third-party game controllers such as the Flydigi Wee2T, check them out. See also the video reviews here.
