In a WSJ report, Amazon is working on a new Alexa-powered device, not another Alexa-powered Echo or Dot speaker but a tablet-like computer screen codenamed Knight.
In a secret hardware facility called Lab126, Amazon is reportedly developing the tablet that’s rumored to be aimed for kitchen. Having said that it’s for kitchen, WSJ mentioned that it allow users to use the device while their hands are covered with flour. The tablet could be the revision of early rumored kitchen-computer Amazon had planned earlier.
There still scarcity of details about Knight, but knowing that it will be powered by Alexa, it’s safe to assume that it will be built to respond on voice commands like the Echo speakers.
In addition, the secretive Lab126 is the hideout and assembly line for some of Amazon’s popular devices, the Kindle, Fire tables, Fire phone, TV and as well the latest Echo-Tap speakers and Dash buttons.
