TSG – Does Size Matter?

When Windows Server 2003 was launched back in 2003, the minimum system requirements were allegedly lower than the system requirements of today’s high-end smartphones.

This is just one of many examples where technology is evolving at a breakneck speed; it’s crazy to think the iPad only came into fruition 5 years ago.

Even something as simple as storage continues to evolve at an astonishing pace. In fact, just over a decade ago if you bought a new desktop PC it would have come supplied with a floppy disk drive as standard, which wouldn’t have been able to store more than one 2 megapixel photo.

Nowadays, you can treat yourself to a 128GB Micro SD card for around £45-70, which is the equivalent in terms of storage capacity to a staggering 93,312 floppy discs.

If you find yourself struggling to keep up with the rapid advancements in technology, fear not. TSG have created a handy visual guide to the major technological advancements in recent years; they’ve also written an in-depth editorial to support the piece, which is well worth a read (once you’ve checked out the infographic below, of course!)
