The Korean automaker Hyundai had just unveiled its new crossover concept called Intrado, a vehicle that’s powered by a fuel cell, the technology that the company has been investing heavily. Intrado will sports Hyundai’s next generation fuel cell system which is expected to be smaller and lighter than the system they fitted on a variant of Tucson powered by a fuel cell which will cost you $499 per month over 3 years with $3000 down —-if you’ll lease it.
But the fuel cell thing might be just the tip of the iceberg for Hyundai’s Intrado, as it also carries the automaker’s latest design language, the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 that was first shown with the 2015 Hyundai Genesis. The new design language was inspired by the aviation industry specific with the aircraft’s wing and all technologies that enables lift and flight to take place. And you can easily relate Intrado’s to be lighter and with efficient powertrain with materials like carbon fiber and new type of lightweight steel.

Intrado’s interior design mainly focuses on usability and adaptability that mirrors the lightweight attribute of the entire system. It has a central carbon frame that’s highlights its carbon fiber appeal whenever the doors, hood or trunk were opened.
There are no official details yet for Intrado’s specification, but according to the Korean manufacturer the vehicle is capable of driving range around 372 miles on a single full tank of hydrogen. However, the fuel cell doesn’t power the Intrado directly, but it charges the 36-kWh lithium-ion battery that powers an electric drive system.
