Polaroid has just announced its partnership with Socialmatic to produce the Polaroid Socialmatic camera that was capable of being an instant camera which Polaroid are known for, and yet it’s capable of instantly connect and share through social media networks.

Hardy, President and CEO of Polaroid. “Polaroid was the original social network: allowing people to instantly capture, print and share life’s moments in a way that had never been possible before. This relationship with Socialmatic allows Polaroid to come full circle and once again allow people to capture and share images in ways that are only possible with a Polaroid camera in their hands.”
At CES 2014, this camera features a unique square shape and vintage design with front and back camera, 14- and 2-megapixel, respectively. These lens will let you conveniently capture and immediately share your images through your favorite social networking sites and if there will be no WiFi connection, you can easily pair your device via Bluetooth through your mobile devices to share it.
You can also easily print your photos through its ink-free Zero Ink Printing technology by ZINK Imaging. User can first edit their photos, where they can add clip art, labels and icons then just press the print button. Upon pressing the button, the Socialmatic camera will automatically print a 2X3 inch full-color sticker-backed ZINK photo easily.
Furthermore, the Socialmatic camera will be running Android operating system paired with 4.5” touchscreen LCD display providing easy navigation and familiar interface. There’ll be also LED flashes for its camera to still capture high quality images during low-light condition.
Don’t be too excited for Polaroid Socialmatic camera as it’s slated to arrive in the fall of 2014 with pricing and other major details will be available in the coming months.
