Seagate has just introduced its second generation of super slim and fast storage solution at CES 2014 in Las Vegas —-the Seagate Backup Plus Slim. The company claims it to be the worlds first thinnest 2TB external hard drive in just 12.1mm thick and if you remember earlier, the Seagate also unveiled its world’s first 4TB external drive. The Backup Plus Slim is targeted for casual backups like photos taken from your smartphone or to free up some spaces on your laptop.
One of the notable features of this portable storage is within its Seagate Dashboard software which can provide one-click backup solution. It can back up Facebook and Flickr albums to make sure your videos and photos are secured or even photos you have been tagged in can be also saved to your external hard drive via USB 3.0 interface.
Backup Plus external drives are available in red, blue, black and silver colored metal-top finger and scratch -resistant case.
Seagate Backup Plus storage is now available from Amazon.com and Seagate.com by capacity: for Backup Plus Slim portable: 500GB Slim – $99.99, 1TB Slim – $119.99 MSRP, 2TB Slim – $179.99 and the 4TB Fast – $299.99.
The high-capacity Seagate Backup Plus desktop 3.5-inch is available in 2TB with MSRP of $129.99, 3TB – $159.99, 4TB – $229.99.
