Maybe right now, your mind is telling you “what a hyping stunt” but credible sources like Neowin, Mashable and Slashgear are reporting same thing, that these MS Surfaces are incredibly popular.
What could be the secret of these Surfaces? You can point directly to its functionality as a tablet plus the productivity as a laptop replacement. Something that Apple’s iPad and most of the Android tablets don’t have.
