The original version of PopCap Games’ Plant vs. Zombies is one of the most successful game apps in the history of mobile gaming. From here, you can expect that its long-awaited sequel to do same, and so far the massive casual gaming apps was able to record astonishing numbers from its release back mid-August. The company reveals record breaking numbers of downloads for iOS alone, as the Plant vs. Zombies 2 hasn’t been released to Android yet –so you can expect the app to hit download milestones when it became available on the other platform.
Specific details revealed that Plants vs. Zombies 2 has already topped the original in terms of lifetime downloads and now nears 25 million downloads. PopCap reveals some interesting statistics regarding the game. It has been played for 81,000,000 hours now for the iOS users that has downloaded it, and also “include 10,000,000,000 which is the number of plants that have been planted, 5,400,000,000 which is the number of zombie waves and 39,000,000,000 which is the number of suns that have been generated.”
The app is available at the App Store for free and compatible for iPhone and iPad. The game is ranked between 4.5/5 stars, so you can expect that it’s worth playing for.
However, up until now PopCap is still in secrecy on when the Plants vs. Zombies 2 would be arriving in the Google Play Store.
