Literally hours away from the big reveal of Microsoft’s latest Xbox gaming console, and TechRadar has come up with a list of what gaming fans and enthusiasts could expect from Redmond. Interested? Read on to find out more.
First, let’s talk about the console’s name. Although no concrete evidence points as to what the company will be naming their brand new console, it is expected that Microsoft will be opting for something catchy and friendly not only to hardcore gamers but more importantly to casual users as well. That is, if they intend to be the king of home entertainment.
Which is our second point. Microsoft has badly wanted the new Xbox to not only be the gaming console of choice, they want the new Xbox to be your primary entertainment at home. Hence, it is a bit expected that the company will be focusing more on the new Xbox’s entertainment capabilities and features more than the titles that will be pioneered on the new console.
However, that is not to say that Microsoft will be abandoning the reveal of new game titles that will be available on its new platform. According to sources, the new Call of Duty will be presented tomorrow, as well as FIFA 14 and a new Forza Motorsport title.
With the performance of Kinect in further extending Xbox360’s shelf life, expect the technology to be a standard addition to every shipment of the new Xbox. As for the internals, a few respectable hardware leaks point to an AMD x86 CPU, 8GB of DDR3 RAM, a 500GB hard disc and a Blu-ray drive.
