With Apple being now a symbol of all that’s cool about new technologies, the company’s partnerships with other brands can only go in the direction of increasing even further its reputation and prestige. Having recently captured the imagination of its fandom with models such as the 458 Italia and the California, Ferrari is another brand going through an inspiring spell.
The history of the Italian car manufacturer speaks for itself: few brands could boost better credentials ahead of a collaboration with Apple. With Apple’s senior vice president of Internet software and Services, Eddie Cue, now a member of Ferrari’s board of directors, even the structure of the two companies is integrated.
Taking the first chance to make dreams come true, a Siri integration system has been launched in as the first part of this Apple-Ferrari collaboration, which had been started earlier last year by Ferrari’s and Apple’s CEOs Luca di Montezemolo and Tim Cook.
Mounted for the first time on the Ferrari FF, the Siri system will include 2 iPad Minis installed in the headrests which will appear as standard features on the model.
Integrated by global audio group, HARMAN, the system can be activated just through a button installed on the steering wheel, while built-in microphones and the car’s audio system will enhance the sound effects to make it an outstanding multimedia asset.
With quality and innovation at the core of the vision of the future strategy of both brands, it is to be expected that the Siri system will only be the first milestone of a long and prosperous collaboration between Apple and Ferrari.
