Earlier the Galaxy S3 have just appeared on Samsung Kies software and as we mentioned on that post, we should be expecting waves of rumors and leaks to come up as May 3rd Samsung event lures near. And today, the Korean-giant couldn’t contain the excitement to let us know about its latest quad chip to power the “next Galaxy” smartphone on the said event.
It’s called the Exynos 4 Quad that utilizes a 32nm architecture, rest assured that it’ll be boasting high speed performance with ultra low power consumption. Samsung claims that it’ll be running twice as fast as it’s earlier brother, the 45nm Exynos 4 Dual while the power consumption is trimmed less 20-percent. Each core works intelligently, as it can turn off automatically when not needed and adjust its clock speed whenever the device are fulfilling tasks which will need more computing resources.
Each core is based from Cortex A9 architecture and will be running at 1.4 GHz. That power would be enough to support 1080p/30fps recording, embedded image signal processor and HDMI 1.4 output. However, unfortunately at the moment, the company is still mum on what GPU this new processor will be paired on to run the new device.
Speaking of the new device, the “next Galaxy” could be the most anticipated Galaxy S3 –are you excited for the quad-core S3?
