October 2011 marks another milestone for Redmond’s latest operating system. Windows 7 have just grabbed the title as the world’s most popular operating system versus to good-old  Windows XP —-globally.

According to report of Engadget via StatCounter, the Windows 7 has surpassed XP globally with a 40-percent versus XP’s 38-percent market share. Rounding up, Vista has been seated in a steady 11-percent, that’s comfortably followed by Mac OS X and Linux who has come in at 7 and 0.82 percent respectively.
