Samsung’s Galaxy S II which is considered to be one of the greatest selling Android device today, have just reached a milestone of 10 million global sales. Interesting pieces surrounds this Sammy’s dual-core flagship –the rest that are being released here in the United States aren’t even counted yet.
Just eight weeks from hitting its 5 million record sales, it has been doubled into ten million sales globally.
According to Samsung’s Mobile Communications Business President JK Shin:
Since its launch in late April 2011, the GALAXY S II has seen continued sales success, demonstrating Samsung’s industry-leading capabilities in – and commitment to – the smartphone market. In just five months the GALAXY S II has seen tremendous growth, reflecting its tremendous popularity with customers around the world, who in selecting the GALAXY S II as their device of choice have driven the device’s strong market position globally.
So how’s S II attracting consumers? It’s so far the thinnest dual-core smartphone today, measuring just 8.49mm thick, with larger vivid and crisp super-AMOLED displays, runs the latest Samsung TouchWiz interface and ultimately packed with Android goodness.
iPhone 5 could be the next big thing in the smartphone market right now, but we speculate that if there will be Samsung Galaxy S III, it could steals massive attentions too when it hits the shelves.
