250 Canon 60Ds to Light a Music Video

Strobist anyone? I’m sure you gonna love this music video released by creative lab Party for the band androp. It takes 250 units of Canon 60D to create the crazy and flashy strobe show while the band performs. I just wonder where they bought those 250 60Ds, wish that they have just gone on this site and click this link, anyways androp is from Japan. So check out the music-vid after the break.

Inspired by the song’s lyrics, “not to make it a memory,” Party created the video using 250 Canon still cameras; their flashes were controlled via a potent DIY cocktail of arduino, openFrameworks, and Flash. The effect is a “light animation” produced with no CGI at all.
