It seems very strange that it was only 4 years ago that the very first iPhone was introduced. The world famous smartphone from Apple has completely altered the way in which we think of mobile phones during these four years, bringing countless features and uses to phones that were unthinkable a decade ago. Each of the phones released by Apple (4 in total) have been a huge success and when you look at just how good these phones are, even compared to their main rivals, this is not a surprise. The latest version of the iPhone, the iphone 4 was released last summer and although the hype was incredible, many felt that it would be impossible for the phone to perform as well as its predecessor, the 3GS. Not only did the iPhone 4 match the achievements of its famous elder brother, it beat them, selling in its millions. How could Apple improve on the great phone that was the 3GS though? Well, here is how.
One of the things that many people had complained about upon purchasing the iPhone 3GS was the lack of multitasking in terms of applications. If you had an app open you had to close it down to open a new one, something that could be extremely annoying. Although the iPhone 4 does not have true multitasking per se, it is an area in which Apple made improvements. Now if you want to switch between applications, you can exit one, freezing it in exactly the place you left it, allowing you to pick up where you left off whenever you want.
Another thing added to the latest version of the iPhone is the ability to record video in high definition, something that all phone manufacturers are placing on their phones now. This just shows yet again that Apple are always willing to utilize the latest technology and understand the latest trends to create a phone which many will be hard to resist.
