Panasonic teases with "Lumix Phone", to be revealed in 5th October

While the Nokia N8 has just started being shipped yesterday, we yet have another competitor in the growing war between the cameraphones. Panasonic has recently put up a website to promote a new phone under their Lumix brand. As we all know, Lumix is Panasonic’s label for their cameras, producing such quality products like the LX5 and others.

Their new phone, dubbed as “Lumix Phone” will be banking on beating the competition with the two earlier shooter-phones with a 13.2-megapixel CMOS sensor together with a 3.3-inch LCD on a body just weighing 146 grams. The Lumix handset primarily focus on it’s imaging components, much like the N8, thus it will sport a body having 17.7mm thick with a mininum height of 116mm and at 52mm wide. More information will surface come October 5 @ CEATEC 2010 in Tokyo.
