Nokia cares for our planet, that’s for sure since they have a concept project called –the EC 509 Green Core. The alarming e-waste and energy consumptions are bold enough to widen the campaign for millions of mobile users.
The concept phone is designed by British designer Matteo Trisolini which applies the idea of spinning the phone (like keychain) and the provided kinetic energy will charge the phone. It also has an LED battery indicator and recycled PET screen cover. Interesting to mention, that Nokia wants your old phones, maybe to be recycled that it has wrapped the EC 509 Green Core in a carton with a free postage sticker which users can use to send their current mobile phone back in.
This green-advocacy is a bit interesting, we hope this goes to production.
