Blizzard’s StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty beta begun

Blizzard's StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty

Even we know Diablo III is delayed due early next year, I bet there is something more to look forward as Blizzard Entertainment announced that it has begun closed beta testing for its real-time full 3D strategy game StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty.

StarCraft has been a massive hit since it debuted on 1998 as a strategy game focusing on battle between protoss, terrans and zerg. Same story will be the theme for the sequel but StarCraft II will be running an entirely new 3D graphics engine. And it will not be a long wait since the new version is targeted for 2Q 2010 release according to Blizzard.

Blizzard told that it will be including thousands of people for the beta test, which they intended to get as much feedback for the game. Part of the beta is the reworked Battle.net platform that will be used for all Blizzards’ game like WoW and StarCraft II.

Meanwhile, we can expect delays as usual we’ve seen on the company history releases, but this for good right, knowing the quality Blizzard puts on their games. Now you can go ahead and register at Battle.net to have a chance to the beta test.
