This future release will feature the 2.66GHz Core i7-620M, with 4MB of Level 2 cache, support Hyperthreading and Turbo Boost up to 3.33GHz on one core, and cost $332 in batches of $1,000. The 2.53GHz i5-540M will run at 2.53GHz (3.06GHz boosted) and carry 3MB of L2 cache while carrying a lower $257 bulk price while the i5-520M will run at 2.4GHz (2.93GHz maximum) and cost $225 in similar volumes.
Fudzilla added a January 3rd shipping date for these chips that would fall on Sunday a not so good day for releases but would set likely a good position prepping for some refresh and new notebooks introduction for CES early next year.
