Apple Mac Mini

Apple released firmware update for Mac Mini and SuperDrive-containing models. The company says that Mac mini EFI Firmware Update 1.2 improves compatibility with the latest Apple memory kits on Mac mini computers but apparently it doesn’t specify the version models it was intended for.

While SuperDrive Firmware Update 3.0 works with the mid 2009 20-inch iMac, early 2009 24-inch iMac, and early 2009 Mac mini and designed to eliminate noise during start-up and wake-up from sleep of the system’s optical drive.

In addition, both updates require OS X 10.5.7 or later with Mac mini with these firmware update, or an iMac with iMac EFI Firmware Update 1.4 installed. Apple also release support document to determine whether you need an update.
