Samsung Taiwan president Smile Kim indicated that Samsung accounts for 60% of total LED-backlit LCD TV panel shipments worldwide currently, and the company will continue to promote LED TVs to expand its market share.
Samsung will also be targeting the 20% of American consumers who’s according to research are willing to purchase a more expensive HDTVs. There are currently three series of Samsung LED TVs on the market right now with Series 8, Series 7 and Series 6.
Samsung is heavily marketing LED backlit panel technology and expecting a huge demand on holiday shopping season.
