The latest software update version 2.4 to the Apple TV enables iPhone and iPod touch users to flick their devices around in order to control the audio or video being played. Even Apple support site seemingly to discuss yet about this new update it looks that its capable of being controlled with gestures using the latest iPhone remote app.
As noted by ArsTechnica via MacRumors, “the new version of Apple’s free Remote app allows you to control your Apple TV by using touchscreen gestures. You can control audio or video playback by flicking left or right to rewind or fast forward. Flick down to show chapter markers when watching video and then flick left or right to skip. You can also tap the screen to play/pause either video or audio.”
