Samsung had just made a bold statement with its 146-inch first-ever consumer mLED “The Wall” 8K UHDTV in CES 2018 and looks like LG isn’t just watching its fellow Korean tech giant. At the event, LG HU80KA 4K HDR projector joined the limelight as one of the Best of Innovations in Home Audio-Video Components and Accessories category.
LG’s latest UHD projector is said to be compact and easy-to-install versus other known 4K projectors, and it’s marketed to be “affordable yet premium device”. The premium feels will be its 150-inch picture of ultra-bright projection at 2,500 lumens —-the company’s brightest as of the moment and at par with market competitions.
You also get support for HDR video with HDR10 and two 7-watt built-in speakers that could be underpowered for that luxury projection. It’s better to have it hooked to a soundbar or other audio system via its optical, HDMI or Bluetooth options. You can play media via USB and it can be also controlled by external mouse and keyboard.
If you’re an LG fanatic and enjoyed its magic remote paired with webOS on its smart TVs, you will be glad to know that it’s running webOS where you can easily find streaming apps integrated in its sleek interface.
There’s no pricing details yet as we speak and if we are to check the readily available 4K projectors it’s not cheap, so let us hope LG will be good in it’s pitched on HU80KA’s affordability.
