Wrecking Ball which shows off a totally different Miley Cyrus to the world and the Royal Baby seemed to be on top of the social network topics for 2013, but according to new data from Facebook –Pope Francis and the word ‘election’ tops the most talked topic worldwide for this year.
Followed by the top two topics, most of the top ten describes worldwide events. The third with the Royal Baby mainly talks about Kate Middleton and Prince William’s baby, the 4th with Typhoon Haiyan as the fourth strongest weather disturbance that badly hit the provinces of Philippines and 5th with the viral Harlem Shake roundup the top 5 trends.
Part of the top ten most talked topics in Facebook also includes the Boston Marathon bombings and the passing of Nelson Mandela.
