We know how Valve limits the number of players to play Dota 2 for the company to have its game development be polished enough to open it for mass consumption –today is the day where anyone can play the ultimately action-packed RPG.
“For the past several months, access to Dota 2 has been granted through a queue system that gated entry into the community. We’ve used this system to gradually increase the size of our playerbase, as we ramped up our infrastructure and improved the experience for new players. As we have recently completed a set of server management upgrades as well as released a huge number of enhancements to the new user experience, we’re going to remove all restrictions to playing Dota 2.”
It’s worth the wait! From its massive queuing system that creates a virtually controlled restrictions for number of players while the Dota 2 teams makes their improvements from the day that it was officially announced. Currently, there are 6.5 million active users every month which seemed to be overwhelming considering the limitations from the queuing system.
