We already knew that Toshiba flagship Ultrabooks in the line of Dynabook Kira has been amazing throughout with its stunning screen and speedy boot-up time. But the Japanese manufacturer seemed to impress even more with its latest Kira V654 ultrabook popularly known for its estimated almost all-day battery life of 22hrs.
There’s deep optimizations inside this ultrabook for it to run this fast and perform well for almost a day. One of the core components will be its Haswell chips from Intel and its 13-inch 1,366 x 768 resolution display that didn’t support the touch functionality of Windows 8 to improve battery savings. But if you want to have the touch version, you may opt for the Kira V834 that is almost similar but will only have 14 hours of battery life, which is not bad at all.
These Kiras, V634 and V834 will be available in Japan on November 20th with prices starts at 153,000 yen ($1,530) and 144,000 yen ($1,446), respectively.
Apparently, sometimes Japan-launched devices not often made it to broader consumers around the world, so let us just cross our fingers tight for this new Kira ultrabooks. And we’ll let you know once there are new updates from Toshiba.
