Nexus 7 price-drop confirmed with $199 for 16GB, $249 for 32GB

A bittersweet price-drop for those consumers who have just bought the Nexus 7 before this confirmation that Google will be dropping the price of its 7-inch tablet.

Apparently, Hurricane Sandy has to be blamed for Google not able to officially announce this price-drop confirmation along with new and widely leaked Nexus 10 Samsung tablet and Nexus 4 LG smartphone through an Android Event scheduled at The Big Apple NYC.

Though this was the case, the Nexus 7 in 32GB variant comes into the shelves of one of the major electronic retailer, Office Depot carrying the trimmed pricetag of $249. This confirms the new Nexus 7 prices, with speculated price of 199 for the 16GB model while the 8GB has been tagged to carry around $100.

There’s still no word on when Google will reschedule its major announcement for the new line of Nexus smartphone and tablet, but for sure the search-giant will push it out as soon as possible to get these Nexus bezels out for the Holiday.
