comScore recently released a survey indicating the growth of both Android and iOS in theUSmarket for Q4. Reining the market is still Android with 47.3% share compared with 44.8% from Q3. iOS remains second with up from 27.4% of the market share. On the other hand Windows Phone is still way behind the race. It lost 0.9% to 4.7% of the piece of the pie. There’s still a long road ahead for Microsoft to catch up. We’ll see if the release of Nokia Lumia 900 in the US would elevate its position.
Also according to the survey, Apple is the sole manufacturer to show growth. This is due to the release of its iPhone 4S. Samsung remains on top with 25.3%. LG is second with 20%, down from 20.6%, third is Motorola which has 13.2% of the market, Apple is 4th with 12.4% market share, up by 2.2 percent and RIM holds 6.7% losing 0.4 points.
