It’s the long time rumored HTC Supersonic that officially turned out to be Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G hyped to be the first 4G phone in the United States. So what’s special to be tagged by 4G? Amazingly 4G networks (WiMAX) deliver 10-times the speed of the 3G networks, therefore same as fast with your DSL or wired cable connection.
HTC EVO 4G will includes 4.3 inch touchscreen, two cameras including one 8MP, running 1GHz Snapdragon CPU and powered by Android 2.1. In addition, EVO will have a Wifi, HDMI out, compass, proximity sensor, motion sensor, Bluetooth, microSD card slot (up to 32GB).
You can head on Sprint’s EVO page where you can sign up so you get notified once the phone gone available this summer.
In the end, we can say that the service would be great along with the phone but unfortunately we can expect limited coverage area for now. Sprint has rolled out 25 cities across U.S. and frankly we’re not talking about big cities. So if you’re living with that fortunate cities you got 4G, in time for sure it will be widespread.
