Dell Adamo XPS

Last September a teaser page rolls out by Dell teasing for their 9.99mm thick new iteration of Adamo. It’s coincide with the Apple event that makes it just a background of the busy story pushing on the web every hour. I check my mail this morning and as a normal subscription I got an email from Dell telling that Adamo XPS is now officially released.

As we all know the teaser won’t give you any hint of the specs, price and its release. Now, it’s come out to have all what we wanted. The new Dell Adamo XPS hype a thinnest 9.99mm sleek metallic mounted by full-sized keyboard, with Superthin 13.4" HD 16:9 WLED 720p display, Integrated 2MP webcam and integrated mono digital microphone. The Adamo XPS 1.4GHz Intel® CoreTM 2 Duo ULV, Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-Bit, 4GB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR3 memory and 128GB solid state drive.

It also pegged by a variety of integration switches like DisplayPort, 2 USB 2.0, headphone connector and audio out. Standard connectors via external dongle: RJ45 network, DVI, plus optional connectors via external dongle like VGA, HDMI. However, even its thin it can last up to 5 hours 17 minutes with optional extended battery life using Li-Polymer cells. While the mobility is comfortably pledge in for just weighing 1.44kg.

The Adamo XPS is available now with starting price at $1,799. One thing I noticed and I worry about the design, the tilted angle of the keyboard with no floor support, which can force the mechanical hinge to breaks if an unnecessary force was induce of the keyboard surface plus considering how thin the it is.

Nokia E72

Nokia’s most anticipated iteration of Nokia E71 –the E72 that has been announced last June has finally begun shipping. We can tell that it’s anticipated as an email-centric smartphone, comfortably spaced full QWERTY keypad along with an optical track pad, it does run S60, plus the added twist of homescreen IM support and LED-flash 5.0-megapixel autofocus camera.

Apparently the Amazon’s pre-order page isn’t yet updated which listed it for $469 and its dedicated Nokia E72 page doesn’t even mention it pre-order option.

However, you can drop any of your experience in the comment form, if ever you have the chance to make the few first unboxing of this smartphone.

Although we only see part of its specs, it is said to be the fastest video card that will hit the market and NVIDIA. It is no surprise packing dual GPUs and 2GB of RAM this new ATI monster graphics card will cost you to about $600 out of your pocket.

As of now, we can nearly wait patiently by tomorrow as dated for its official release. One thing, I want to hear now is NVIDIA’s comment to this “it is said to be the fastest video card that will hit the market”.

Samsung ST1000 Wi-Fi camera

Samsung have unveiled their latest Wi-Fi camera called ST1000. I don’t know if you got the point of mounting such connectivity on a camera, but as the technology moves really fast there will be a time that we will find data, photos are directly streamed and stored. But honestly, I find ST1000 really useful, for online geek and socialites.

My point is when I’m covering a press release and you need to live feed photos to your laptop you don’t need to the hassle trick of old-fashioned USB or SD card reader. Getting my live photos almost seamlessly streamed for my readers.

If you find ST1000 fits for your needs, then maybe you’ll be more interested finding almost every way of connections in it. The new camera features haptic touchscreen, 5x optical zoom while boosting Wi-Fi, DLNA, Bluetooth, plus GPS and 720p video recording at 30fps. It is available now for $749.

Shenzhen MacBook Air clone at $249 packs 3G, removable battery

I don’t doubt why Chinese people are tagged to have been the source of low priced gadgets. Like what we got here is super-low priced Macbook Air, but apparently it’s a clone version. Anyways even it lacks some of the official Air style, its removable battery, integrated 3G, relative surfeit of ports and $249 price tag may have your mind find it as an alternative.

It’s the latest offering from Shenzhen Tong Men Tech Company. The ultra-portable clone will feature a normal netbook-specification that comes with Intel’s 1.66GHz Atom N280, 1GB of DDR2 memory, and a 160GB hard-drive and 12.1-inch display. The 3,500-3,800mAh removable battery will be able you to have 2.5hrs of Air-like experience.

While it is expected to hit this week, the clone’s dual USB 2.0, HDMI, Ethernet, audio and multi-format memory card reader added some Chinese touch on this Air version. I may not be questioning the quality, cause sometimes quality is directly proportional to the price.

Chinese iPhone

China Unicom has only signed 5,000 iPhone users since it was officially launched late last week. I don’t know if you have been surprised by the outcome, but I think we have already assumed this upset. There are few reasons on apparent poor performance of the Chinese iPhone, mainly is the tough competition over the grey marketed iPhone and its crippled version.

Despite iPhone’s poor performance, China Unicom Chairman Chang Xiobing remains confident that it will regain its market stand with its 3G network roll out that has already signed up 1 million customers. "We are satisfied with iPhone sales so far, and we aim to have an additional 1 million new 3G subscribers each month in the near future," he said.

I’ve seen lots of fake phones coming from China, almost all brands. Now do you think would anyone dare to grab the much expensive and crippled Chinese version iPhone? Plus the fact that there are lots of imported unlocked fully-functional iPhone available there, that I know much Chinese would be interested in.

I don’t know what you are thinking, but I want to here something from you.

ATI Radeon 5970 dual GPU video card

We know how ATI and NVIDIA are getting toe-to-toe battle over the graphics card market. However, we can’t settle the fact that each brand has their strengths; NVIDIA is known for their sophisticated video cards while ATI is for their decent video cards plus the affordability. Since the last few months, ATI has been in campaign unveiling battalions of graphics card that has received a positive response from gamers for its decent performance at a good price. Maybe part of this slew of video cards is this new dual GPU that has been leaked all over the web.

The new dual GPU is called ATI HD 5970 which features two GPU’s mounted in 13.5-inch board. This will force to be fitted to the largest computer cases available on the market. Good thing, this card is said to be an engineering sample so this massive size could change before its official market introduction. This card will need both a 6-pin and 8-pin power adapter --obviously will leech enormous power on the PSU.

Apparently, AMD has forced the site that leaked the images to pull the performance data sheet from the post. This will only give us the idea that ATI HD 5970 is on the final phase of design and testing but you can be assured that I will be giving you its availability details and specifications when this new graphics card is made official.

It was a 3000km solar-car race that has been won by the Japanese team, giving an upset to four time Dutch champion. See the car above, it’s the winning piece.

Despite the flat tire, Tokai Challenger claim the World Championship completing the race in 29 hours and 49 minutes approximately with an average of 101km/h. Considering the Dutch team’s 29 hours and 11 minutes back in 2005, it is not the best time but considering some natural changes and conditions in a year to year basis this might have affected the race in a long run.
