Besides from Sony’s overpriced VAIO P series, the company has just announced VAIO W series
and this time it’s a netbook. We know that Sony has recently condemning netbook’s negative impact, but its apparent announcement of this new series will make you think what made them change there mind to enter the line of business which we also know Asus and Acer are gaining success.
Sony new VAIO W series will sports 1.66GHz N280 Atom processor, 10.1inch (1366×768) display, 1GB of RAM, 160GB of storage capacity, Intel ® GMA 950/W-LAN (bgn) / Camera / Bluetooth and up to 3.5-hour battery pack.
The press release features a VAIO W video which suggests how chunky the design compares to Acers Aspire One 751 and Asus bestselling 1005HA Seashell slim designed netbooks.
The specification suggests a normal configuration for a netbook, better to watch out is what will be its price (US). The VAIO W will be available on White and Pink that scheduled to be available on August 8 and 22.
