Microsoft Corp.’s Macintosh Business Unit (MacBU) released Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac Service Pack 2 (SP2) today — a midcycle free update that is designed to improve the Office 2008 experience where it matters most to customers: speed, stability and compatibility.
Specifically the update on each application like; the significant speed increase to Word App, default themes presentations and Animation tool Custom Path to PowerPoint.
Aside from this updates, Office 2008 for Mac SP2 will also added new functionality through Document Connection for Mac. Users can now do online collaboration (Microsoft’s SharePoint solution for server-based) and document sharing via Microsoft Office Live Workspace which will allow users to save and open Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents. The Microsoft Office Live Workspace is also now support Safari 4 in addition to its Firefox 2.0 compatibility.
