Gizmodo.au and Engadget have put some details from the operation of Palm Pre and Touchstone. Engadget via iFixit claims that Touchstone will only cost you $5 from their hardware estimates; apparently you could buy this device at $70. Seemingly, giving an undesirable price, but as always we don’t have any official quantifiable data that contributes to the cost. As for now we can just expect for an earlier price drop.
Gizmodo via RapidRepair shows off details of disassembled Pre with approximate hardware cost of $170, so folks looking to $199 price for the Pre we can say that it is a good deal at all, even the features as well.
