Ubuntu 9.04 ‘Jaunty Jackalope’ ready for download

What does Ubuntu mean? “Ubuntu is an African word meaning ‘Humanity to others’, or ‘I am what I am because of who we all are’. The Ubuntu distribution brings the spirit of Ubuntu to the software world.”

Now here is the good news, the latest free version Ubuntu 9.04 aka Jaunty Jackalope is now ready for download. These free OS promises faster boots, better power management, and easy system access after hibernation. Additionally this new Ubuntu version sports a new system-wide notification service, and broader device support for intelligent switching between WiFi and 3G networks.

Ubuntu have gotten better as it moves new builds for netbooks, from supposed to be desktop and server build from its previous version. We have already seen it running on Nokia’s N8x0 series internet tablets, which have created a preview of rumored Nokia Linux based netbook.
